The Medical Team in the clinic are very sad to report that one of the carers, who has been a loyal and hardworking member of the care team for the past 23 years, is currently very ill and has been undergoing treatment for the past 5 months. She has a further month to go before the end of this round of treatment. Sister Karen Breetzke has managed to source support from the suppliers in the form of tonics and nutrition-rich meal supplements to enable her to regain her strength and possibly return to work. She is a well-known carer to many of the Caister residents and well-loved and respected for her work ethic, high standards of care, and above all for her kindness and empathy. In view of the above, any assistance towards helping her on her road to recovery would be greatly appreciated. Please reach out to myself or Sister Karen Breetzke if you are able to assist. Many thanks in advance for your assistance from Sister Karen Breetzke and all the Caister Care Centre staff.
The Residents House Committee are still looking for pictures to hang in the passageways at Caister Lodge. If you have pictures that no longer serve a purpose in your home and you would like to assist, please leave the pictures at reception and arrangements will be made to have them placed in the passageways.
Don’t forget to Save the Date for the Caister Residents Christmas Party, which will be held in the dining room from 12:00 noon on Wednesday, the 10th December 2025.
Residents who wish to contribute to the Caister Staff Gratuity Fund, which is distributed to all the staff before Christmas, are to please advise the admin staff and your contribution will be added to your monthly levy account.
