Wear a Hat to celebrate Spring Day 2025 on Wednesday, the 3rd September at 10:00 am. Prizes will be given to the “Most Creative”, “Most Elegant” and the “Funniest” hat. Come and join in the fun.
On Wednesday, the 3rd September, there will be an Exclusive Morning Market Sale of the Collins Collection on the Caister veranda from 08:30 am till 12:00 noon. More information is available on the notice board.
Doctor Marizel van Rensburg will be giving a talk on Homeopathy and Pain in the TV lounge at 09:30 am on Thursday, the 4th September. More details are available on the notice board.
The Gordon Road Old Girls Annual Function will be held at the school on Saturday, the 6th September from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon.
The 31st Anniversary of the “Shall We Dance” show will be performed at the Playhouse from the 12th September to the 14th September. Please see the notice board for more details.
A big Thank You to all the Knitting Ladies for all the items that they have created for the less privileged who benefit from your efforts.
The Community Chest is inviting all Caister residents to a talk on Wills and Legacy Giving at the Botanic Gardens from 09:30 am till 11:30 am on Thursday, the 18th September. Please see the details on the notice board.
There will be a Rosh Hashanah Dinner in the alcove area of the Caister dining room from 6:15 pm on Monday, the 22nd September at a cost of R350.00 per person. Please add your name to the list provided on the notice board if you would like to attend.
The Spring Braai Day will be taking place on the veranda from 12:00 noon on Heritage Day, the 24th September. Come and join in the fun at this wonderful social event.
Residents who park their vehicles in the guest parking area of Caister Lodge are respectfully requested to arrange parking in the Residents Parking area to ease the congestion. As the activities at Caister Lodge increase, so does the demand for parking. Please be considerate of this problem and arrange permanent parking if you have not already got one.
Residents are respectfully requested not to feed the monkeys as this encourages them to return more frequently and they create an unsightly mess on the Caister premises which staff then have to clean up.
Please continue to assist with the consumption of electricity and water and not use these utilities unnecessarily, as the cost thereof continues to place a huge burden on the company’s finances. For your information, please see the levels of the dams that feed the greater Durban area:
