The Bi-Annual Quiz has been extended to a quarterly event by Public demand and the next quiz will take place on Wednesday the 26th June 2024 at 6.00 pm in the lounge. Please save the date and come and join in the fun for another entertaining evening.

It has been verbally confirmed that the Caister residents will be able to cast their votes on site prior to the 29th May 2024. Once the above is confirmed a notice will be placed on the board for your information. The Caister bus will also be available on the 29th May 2024 to transport residents to and from the Norwegian Hall polling station. confirmation of the above.

The M-Pact container in the parking lot for all paper to be collected and recycled has been removed as the company felt it is no longer a viable proposition for them. Negotiations are afoot for a new service provider to attend to all recycling products (paper, plastic, glass etc) and appropriate receptacles will be delivered to site to deal with the above. As soon as we have confirmation of this service, same will communicated on the notice board.

The medical staff would like to remind all residents that winter flu season is near and here are some tips for managing your health during the next few months:-

  • Wash your hands well and often with soap and water
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sneezing and coughing
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, throw your tissue away and wash your hands
  • Get fresh air in your room every day and open windows
  • Please be mindful of your fellow residents, and refrain from socializing whilst you are ill
  • Seek medical care if you have chest pain, shortness of breath, high temperature or weakness

Carpet cleaning of all the Caister passageways and stairways will commence on Monday the 6th May 2024 and will continue only on Mondays until all the carpets in these areas have been steam cleaned. Please see attached the schedule of the above service and on which day and area the cleaning will be taking place for your information.

Residents are urged to please use water sparingly as the cost of this resource at Caister Lodge is increasing exponentially.
